ABOUT THE ARTIST
Everist Prokofiev was born in Torun, Poland in 1959. He and his family left Poland when he was six years old, settling in Toronto, Canada. He was immersed in the visual arts and music throughout his childhood and developed his love for the fine arts at a very young age. Experiencing pressure from his family to follow in the musical footsteps of his great-uncle, composer Sergei Prokofiev, Everist found that he was much more comfortable composing on canvas. After attending the Ontario College of Art for four years, Everist continued to hone his artistic skills by enrolling in private painting lessons. He received much recognition and numerous awards before he reached 18 years of age.
Everist has traveled extensively across Canada, where the diverse and magnificent Canadian landscape continues to provide him with a limitless source of inspiration. His travels from British Columbia to Newfoundland and from the Arctic to the distant shores of the Caribbean have re-sparked Everist’s creative instincts. Observing nature while spending time in the great Canadian wilderness has magnetized Everist to his canvas, making it necessary for him to keep his easel and box of paints by his side. In 2016, Everist was chosen to be part of the Canadian delegation, representing Canada, at the 6th Edition of “Artistes Du Monde Exposition International” in Cannes, France. This was a major turning point for Everist, expanding his creativity onto the world stage.
After many years in Ontario, Everist and his family now reside in the magnificent forested mountains of Charlevoix Quebec. Over the past 100 years, this region has been a favourite destination for many renound Canadian and international painters.
A Y Jackson ,Renee Richard, Jean Paul Riopelle, Cornelius Kreighoff, Francesco Lacurto, William Brymner , and many others have found Charlevoix an unlimited source of inspiration.
Everist is very involved in the arts community. He is a member of several art societies in Ontario and Quebec, as well as the Com2Art association in France. He has taught palette knife painting seminars for all ages and skill levels, believing that awareness through education will ensure the longevity of the fine arts.
Everist's paintings adorn the walls of many private homes and are found in corporate collections across North America, The Caribbean and Europe.

À l’âge de six ans, il a déménagé à Toronto, Canada avec sa famille, où il s’est immergé dans les arts et la music et a développé une passion pour les beaux-arts. Même avec la pression de suivre dans les pas musicaux de son grand-oncle, composeur Sergei Prokofiev, Everist se sentait plus confortable composer sur la toile. Après avoir étudié au Collège des Arts de L’Ontario pendant quatre ans, Everist a continué à perfectionner ses compétences artistiques en s'inscrivant à des cours privés de peinture. Il a reçu beaucoup de reconnaissance et de nombreux prix, même avant d’être devenu un adulte.
Everist a voyagé à travers le Canada, où le paysage canadien diversifié et magnifique continue d’être une grande source d’inspiration pour son travail. Ses voyages de la Colombie-Britannique jusqu’à Terre Neuve et de l’Arctique jusqu’aux rives des Caraïbes, ont relancé ses instincts créatifs. Observer la nature en passant du temps dans les grandes régions sauvages du Canada, a magnétisé Everist sur sa toile ce qui l'a obligé à garder son chevalet et sa boîte de peinture à ses côtés. En 2016, Everist a été choisi pour représenter Canada à la 6e édition de « Artistes du Monde Exposition International » à Cannes, en France. Ce fut un grand accomplissement pour Everist, qui a expansé sa créativité sur la scène mondiale.
Everist et sa famille demeure maintenant dans les montagnes de Charlevoix au Québec, un endroit où au cours des cents dernières années, a été une destination favorite pour de nombreux artistes renommés du Canada. Everist est très impliqué dans la communauté artistique ; il est membre de plusieurs sociétés artistiques en Ontario, ainsi que de l'association Com2Art en France. Il enseigne des cours et organise des séminaires de peinture à la palette pour tous les âges et niveaux de compétence, croyant que la sensibilisation par l'éducation assurera la longévité des beaux-arts. Les peintures d'Everist décors les murs de nombreuses maisons privées et se retrouvent dans des collections corporatives à travers l'Amérique du Nord, les Caraïbes, et l'Europe.
